From 27-29 September, some of the most prestigious people and brands in the textile, tailoring and fashion arena gathered at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in China for the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition.
One of the world’s largest and most extensive apparel fabric exhibitions, over 4,400 exhibitors from 33 countries and regions, plus circa 80,000 trade buyers attended the biannual event. It is therefore a prime platform for showcasing the latest premium cloth and accessories, as well as highlighting the upcoming seasonal trends.
This year, our cloth collections were presented via our Asian distributor Shanghai Kang Chuang Textiles, and the event was a great success!
Spread across 240,000 sqm, visitors could meander their way through a sea of display areas and product zones – exploring the industry’s latest textile innovations to source the most stylish and on-trend fabrics.
Our booth featured various suiting and coating samples, all of which appeared to pique the sartorial fancy of many delegates – popularity that resulted in the establishment of some key trade relationships and a positive sales elevation for Dugdale Bros.
Organisers of the event shone the spotlight on Asian trends – encouraging buyers to attend the pavilions from Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Thailand, to learn about the emerging fashion innovations.
One of the particular highlights from the fair was the quartet of Japanese trends from the Japan Pavilion Trend Forum – Egoist’s Essence, Lost in Utopia, Rustic Logics and Fashionista.
The Korean Pavilion was also a notable area, where exhibitors such as Alphafabric revealed unique fabrics, including vibrant tweeds and ornate jacquard. This Pavilion also featured an AW19-20 trend area, where the theme – Redefine – was inspired by sustainable fashion and creative individualism in minority groups.
We were truly delighted to exhibit once again at this prestigious event and look forward to heading back again for the Spring Edition.
