By using our site, you consent to the collection and use of information by Dugdale Bros & Co only or Blue Water Web Ltd strictly on our behalf. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
WHY WE NEED THIS DATA AND WHAT DO WE DO WITH IT?
When you submit an enquiry, we may ask for your name, address and e-mail address so we can administer the request and reply to you. We also monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site. We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the site, new products, services and special offers we think you’ll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, please contact us via our contact form.
We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR CUSTOMER INFORMATION?
Under EU and UK data protection law, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Dugdale Bros & Co are responsible for your transactions on the website and all transactions are processed via Sage Pay’s secure payment pages. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
WILL WE DISCLOSE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT TO OUTSIDE PARTIES?
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
COOKIES
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer which collect anonymous information that will help us understand visitors’ browsing habits on our website, for example to compile statistical reports on website activity, e.g. number of visitors and the pages they visit. We do not use cookies to track your use of the internet after you leave our site, nor do we store any personal information that others could read and understand. We do use third party software to monitor Google Analytics on our site and for our Clients. On the Dugdale Bros & Co website we only use session cookies which are temporary and are deleted as soon as you close your browser.

GDPR
GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulation) is purely to do with how we manage data and protect personal data we hold without impacting on any business relationship we have with our customers.
Personal data is any information relating to an individual (data subject) that is not already in the public domain that can directly or indirectly identify a person such as a name, address and email address.
The personal data we will collect will only be the information we deem to be required for legitimate business reasons and are needed to fulfil an order and deliver it to you. By way of making contact with us from the onset of setting up an account and placing an order, we will deem this as consent to hold the information that you give to us either via the website, over the phone, in person or by email. We will not divulge any data to anyone outside Dugdale’s other than our chosen courier to deliver your goods to you and our website developers, Digital Velocity Limited – please see below. We will not sell any personal data to any company.
Invoices and statements sent out will be printed using limited data to ensure that the invoice/statement is received by yourself to conclude the order being processed. At the time of placing the order and passing on your details, you are giving consent for this information to be printed.
All Staff and Directors within Dugdale’s will have access to your personal data including our sales reps who may visit you from time to time to discuss your account and approach you with new bunches available. Again, at the time of setting up your account, we deem that consent is given for you to be visited by our sales reps. You can opt out from visits at any time by letting us know.
Any contact made with our UK office from within the EU but outside the UK will be asked, where necessary, if we are able to pass your details on to our agent in the country domiciled. This consent will have to be given to us via email. If you do not wish to pass your details on to us then we are able to pass our agent details on to you however if an order is placed, then the agent will have to pass your details onto us for invoicing and delivery. Our agents outside the UK are representatives of Dugdale’s but are sub-contractors.
Any contact our sub-contractor agents make with a business outside the UK but within the EU will fall under their own privacy statements and will be their responsibility to gain consent to share your information with us. Any information we receive for orders or enquiries from these agents we will consider as the consent has been given and the business relationship explained fully between customer, agent and Dugdale’s.
Customers who chose to get in touch with us to pay by credit/debit card consent to giving us that information for one transaction only on the day in which the information is passed. Once the details have been utilised the information will be disposed of immediately. Card details will never be retained.
Our website is maintained and developed by a company called Digital Velocity Limited who may see your personal data if inputted in to our website or an enquiry has been sent via our website. Digital Velocity also deal with our Newsletter that is issued monthly but will only be passed your business name and email address. Consent to receive our newsletter will be deemed given at the time of setting up your business account with us with an option to unsubscribe at any point should you wish to do so. For existing customers an email will be sent to ask if you wish to receive the newsletter prior to GDPR coming in to force on 25th May 2018. Digital Velocity Limited will not use your personal data for anything other than Dugdales’ services.
Any personal data will be retained by ourselves on our secure server for as long as we have a business relationship or for up to 6 years once our business relationship has come to an end and no orders have been placed.
At any time throughout our business relationship any individual and business has the following rights:
- Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you have the right to ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records
- Right to object – you have the right to object to marketing from us i.e. newsletter
